crown-parkThe Crown Park Groundbreaking on August 18, 2018 was a huge success!  We were joined by friends and family to celebrate the Soccer Complex’s latest addition which was a combined effort of the Lowndes County Board of Supervisors and Junior Auxiliary.

We had 21 Junior Auxiliary Members attend the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries Annual Education Conference in Memphis, TN.  JA of Columbus received the prestigious Award of Excellence, the Efficiency Award, Public Relations Award for In My Shoes, Norma DeLong Award for Choose Your Path, Martha Wise Award for Clothing and the NAJA Foundation Membership Award. We were also recognized for our contribution to the Betty W. Robbins Endowed Scholarship Fund.

The 2015-2016 Scholarship Recipients were chosen through the Scholarship Committee and recognized at our annual May Luncheon held at Lions Hill. $30,000 worth of initial awards were given at the luncheon, with many recipients in place to have annual stipends.

Scholarship winners attending the luncheon included (left to right): Christopher Gray, Shelby Jones, Carrion Byrd, Hannah Ford, Alexia Morton, Jay Little.

We would like to congratulate former President and Junior Auxiliary of Columbus Life member, Kelly Trout, who was appointed as a Chapter Support Coordinator for Region IV.
